You can learn to play SATB hymns in a pressure free environment from the comfort of your own home with short daily lessons that help you gain foundational piano skills in technique and theory and build retention with short daily lessons (10 minutes or less). Is this enough? Absolutely, micro piano lessons are increasingly popular because they're effective and fit into a busy lifestyle. My method is perfect for families, adult learners, beginners, and those who have always wanted to learn or are coming back to the keys after many years away. Find engaging, effective, and faith-based piano lessons that lead you on a structured path to learning competence and confidence at the piano so you can play for enjoyment or accompany singing in your Sunday School class, church service, or any other opportunity to serve others that suits you. This method is particularly designed for families to be able to enjoy enthusiastic worship at home. You'll get both music education and build family culture with The Living Music Method. Ready to get started?
The Living Music Method is an online piano learning course community with structured learning paths for beginners, with weekly modules and short daily lessons to help you grow from complete beginner to confident pianist, specifically in hymn playing. I focus on functional hymn playing, so you will learn how to play intervals, chords, and read and improvise SATB hymns, however these skills will help you apply what you learn to other genres of music if you so choose. Learning to play hymns is a great foundation for building piano skills and this is exactly how I learned and became a church pianist for over ten years! (I started young!)

The beauty of e-learning piano lessons online with The Living Music Method is that you get professional instruction in a pressure free environment, opportunities to perform and share your progress if you wish, and a clear path to follow from beginner to pianist without all of the fluff. Lessons are designed to complete each week day and you will need to be at your piano to complete lessons. Doing a little each day increases retention and helps to create a practice habit. I designed these lessons to be your practice and lesson time together so you don't need to add lengthy practice time to your already busy schedule. This is especially effective for families with multiple children in lessons! Modules are self paced so you can complete them in whatever time you choose. When you complete a lesson, the next one will be unlocked.
When you join The Living Music Method Membership for $39 a month, you will gain instant access to the Piano Foundations course, and that is where you need to start to get the skills you need to enjoy the benefits of your membership. The course is 4 weeks, and in addition to this course you will gain access to all other courses and content I add in the future including (hopefully) early childhood education programs! You will also receive a fresh seasonal monthly piano hymn tutorial each month to help you build your repertoire and continue your love of learning piano. I hope you enjoy these benefits and let me know what else you'd like to see in the community! Your feedback is invaluable. I am excited for you to join and hope to see you inside the course and community soon.

Meet Ann-Marie
I'm a piano player who loves to play simple, congregational style pieces. I've played piano in church for 20 years and taught private lessons for a bit, before we had our children, and now my heart is to introduce them to piano music with hymns of the faith, that I know will stick with them throughout their life. I want to encourage people to keep playing and keep learning with an online community that can encourage each other and cheer each other on. I think that having a community of people is so important when you are learning something new, and while I'm not a perfect pianist, I am passionate and knowledgable enough, and that's where I want to bring my students to, a working knowledge of music and piano playing so that you can enjoy playing and singing in your own home. I hope you will find my resources helpful as you build a culture of music in your own home, whether you are a beginner or jumping back in after a long time. Welcome!
